Chris Green, U.S. Pizza Team Trainer, has been spinning dough since he competed for a spot on the U.S. Pizza Team in Los Angeles Aug. 2-4, 2004 at the Acrobatic Trials held at the Western Foodservice & Hospitality EXPO.
Chris got his start in pizza spinning when he went with his family to Italy for the World Pizza Championship. He saw the amazing things people could do with dough. Chris said "I can learn to do that, next year I will compete" He started working for a pizza shop, PieZons and working with real dough. He not only learned how to spin dough, but became an expert dough tosser, placing the highest of any U.S. Pizza Team member at the U.S. Pizza Championship in Italy.
Chris is a graduate of Oxford High School and is currently a student University of Mississippi. He is the morning show disc jockey for 92.1 Rebel Radio. He still finds plenty of time to practice the art of pizza spinning. He has been features on Food Network, WPIX, CBS, Life & Style, Oprah and Martha Stewart. His favorite thing about being on the US Pizza Team is, " I always have a conversation piece."
