World's Best! Team Gold, Italy – 2007
Chris Green is the U.S. Pizza Team Trainer and has been training new and upcoming recruits since 2004.
Chris got his start in pizza spinning when he went with his family to Italy for the World Pizza Championship. When he saw the amazing things people could do with dough, Chris said, "I can learn to do that; next year I will compete." He started working for a pizza shop, PieZons, and working with real dough. He not only learned how to spin dough, but became an expert dough tosser, placing the highest of any U.S. Pizza Team member at the U.S. Pizza Championship in Italy in 2004.
With his great humor and fancy spinning moves, he has traveled all over the world – including Australia, England, Germany, Singapore and China – teaching people to spin, perform and compete with pizza.
Chris is currently a student at the University of Mississippi where he produces audio for radio shows and advertisements at the university's radio station, 92.1 WUMS. Chris also works with PMQ's Pizza Radio. In spite of all this, he still finds plenty of time to practice the art of pizza spinning. He has been featured on BBC, The Food Network, WPIX, CBS, Life & Style, Oprah, Good Morning America, The Today Show and Martha Stewart. His favorite thing about being on the pizza spinning is seeing the excitement of the audience and making people laugh.
