Brian Edler grew up in Plymouth, Ohio, and is the owner of a Domino's Pizza franchise based in Findlay, Ohio. Brian has been in the pizza business since he was 16, when he began delivering pizzas for a neighbor's pizza place.
Brian has been a member of the U.S. Pizza Team since 2003 when he placed first in the Largest Dough Stretch and in the Fastest Pizza Maker competitions. He has been winning contests and breaking records ever since. Brian prepares for competitions by practicing three to five times a week for at least 30 minutes at a time. "I also start practicing at least 30 days before the competition," he said.
Brian's record-breaking titles include Fastest Pizza Maker in the United States (20.37 seconds), World Record in New York for the longest stretch (52.75 inches) and the World Record for the Fastest Pizza Maker (37 seconds) at the World Pizza Championship.
Brain appeared on the cover of the March/April 2004 issue of PMQ Magazine. He has also appeared on all many TV shows since he joined the team in 2003: The Best Damn Sports Show, CNN News, CBS's The Early Show and The Food Network's World Pizza Challenge. He has also appeared in USA Today, as well as a front page spot in more than 20 other newspapers and publications across world, including Pizza E Pasta magazine in Italy.
Brian said he has learned to use the media more effectively to market his business without having to spend heavily on advertising. He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 19 years, and they have three children, Kodie, Mackenzie, and Kurtis.
